About

Fact:

A very high percentage of our youth today lack essential life skills, it’s time we went back to the years when we taught every young person in every school, home, business the basic skills every person should know before they reach adulthood. We need to bring back opportunities to learn skills such as; woodworking, mechanics, cooking etc. We can do this through mentorship programs, community workshops. Also, apprenticeships, internships and hands-on hobbies.

Learning basic life skills will give our youth a fighting chance at surviving in a world that is coming closer and closer to completely depending on Tec knowledge that could at anytime be wiped out at the push of a button.

The New Life Repair Shop has two (2) objectives (Goals):

1) First, we want to “BUILD-RESTORE-MAINTAIN” all electronic devices such as computers, phones, tablets, etc. and all small (portable) home and office appliances. Also encouraging people to start or continue to be involved in a hobby or side Hussle.

We here at “New Life Repair Shop” or sometimes referred to as a “Community Workshop”  understand that repairing used electronics and small appliances involves learning basic diagnostics, finding parts (often online), using the right tools (screwdrivers, testers), and for hands-on volunteer help. Our process focuses on diagnosing issues (power, signal) using service manuals or online guides, replacing faulty components like capacitors or switches, and testing the device, keeping electronics out of landfills.

Give your stuff another day; just give “New Life Repair Shop” a call today!

2) Second, our goal is to “BUILD-RESTORE-MAINTAIN” all Historic Monuments that have been neglected over the years. We will be working with all local, national, and international organizations, groups, committees and individuals around the world on Preservation, Restoration and Preventive/Ongoing Maintenance on all historical monuments and sites.

QUESTION:
Do we lose a part of ourselves, when we allow something of Historic Value to be destroyed or left in a state of ruin?

ANSWER: Yes!
Ever visit a place in your past? A place from your childhood or a place that had a historic monument or maybe a historical event took place. Only to find that it’s either torn down or badly in need of repair. Most of the time we can chalk it up to progress, but more often than not, it’s because it no longer holds any value to anyone. Whomever erected and maintained it have long past on and they never past on the torch or the commitment to preserve the memory, of why it was there in the first place, so it was left to go to ruin.
Everyone can help by giving your time, your expertise, your thoughts and of course your money, because money in the right hands not only builds dreams, but it can also preserve those dreams forever.

The heritage value of a historic place is embodied in its character-defining materials, forms, location, special configurations, and the uses and cultural associations or meanings.
Character-defining Elements: the materials, forms, location, special configurations, uses and cultural associations or meanings that contribute to the heritage value of a historic place, which must be retained to preserve its heritage value.

Restoration
We will repair rather than replace character-defining elements. Where character- defining elements are too severely deteriorated to repair, and where sufficient physical evidence exists, replace them with new elements that match the forms, materials and detailing of sound versions of the same elements. Where there is insufficient physical evidence, make the form, material and detailing of the new elements compatible with the character of the historic place.

Preventive/Ongoing Maintenance

We will make any intervention needed to preserve character-defining elements physically and visually compatible with the historic place and identifiable on close inspection. Document any intervention for future reference.
Memories are the last thing a person has in life and the yhh.rocks program “New Life Repair Shop” wants to be the organization that “BUILDS-RESTORES-MAINTAINS” those memories for every generation to come.
